The PM Vishwakarma Sewing Machine Scheme is a central government initiative aimed at providing financial assistance to empower women and help them become self-reliant. Under this scheme, eligible artisans and tailors receive financial assistance of up to ₹15,000 as an e-voucher to purchase a new modern sewing machine and tools.
Scheme Benefits
- Financial Assistance: ₹15,000 tool kit incentive via digital voucher.
- Skill Training: 5-7 days of basic training with daily stipend.
- Collateral-Free Credit: Loan of up to ₹1 Lakh at a concessional interest rate of 5% in the first tranche, and ₹2 Lakh in the second tranche.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be an Indian citizen and engaged in tailoring or garment craft.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- One member per family is eligible to receive benefits under the scheme.
